Happy 2010 - With Music - The XX

Hello my little group of followers, although the best.
Before all, happy new year/decade… that all your wishes come true, bla, bla, bla…
Now, what brings me here today, this band that released the debut album in august last year, they are called THE XX and the album is called XX (original name).
The xx is a band from south west London, England, formed in 2005. Originally consisting of four 20 year olds, they met at Elliott School, notable for alumni including Hot Chip, Burial and Four Tet. They were placed at number 6 in the 2009 NME The Future 50 list. Their debut album, xx, was released on Young Turks Records on 17 August 2009.
The XX are one of those few bands that can claim - accurately - that they sound like no-one else around. But, in the other hand, they sound like so many things I enjoy. The best is for you to give it a go. Leave you with the links:

New album - THE ELEPHANTS

The Elephants - http://www.elephants.dk/ - is a band from Copenhagen-Denmark that does a type of music that is nothing more nothing less than POP... period… but if you prefer you can call them “indie” but, tell me, what bands are not “indie” or referred as “indie” nowadays?
Let’s cut the crap… “indie” comes from the word independent – is a term used to describe independence from major commercial record labels, a Do-It-Yourself approach to recording and publishing the work.
Ups… got exited there... sorry. Guess I’m just tired of seeing all bands being called like that now… just define me the type of music they make, don’t say “you have to listen to this really cool indie band”… why don’t just say “yo dude, you have to listen to this… The Elephants – it sounds bit like a mixture of the beach boys, neil young, velvet Underground with a twist of flaming lips”.
Hummm… I know why, because I couldn’t figure it out as well… let’s stick with the “indie” and put a pop in from… Indie pop. Here we go, all of us are happy now 
Give it a listen… and comment for a reward in the shape of elephant sound waves…
